Compromising material, blackmail material, (real or fabricated) evidence that a person does not want revealed, dirt.

Borrowed from Russian компрома́т (kompromát), short for компромети́рующий материа́л (komprometírujuščij materiál, “compromising material”). KGB slang from the Stalin era.
